Edyta Maria Urbanska

Edyta Maria Urbanska, Ph.D., works as a senior physician in the Oncology Department at Rigshospitalet, where she treats patients with NSCLC and mesothelioma, and conducts research on oncogene-driven NSCLC, resistance mechanisms, and liquid biopsy. She also holds a post-doc degree (Master) in personalized medicine from the University of Copenhagen. Edyta Maria Urbanska’s master project was titled: «Defining MET exon 14 skipping variants in NSCLC patients: impact for personal approach.»

Edyta Maria Urbanska is a principal and co-investigator in several clinical studies, and she teaches targeted therapy for NSCLC to junior doctors in specialist training.

Edyta Maria Urbanska is a member of DOLG (Danish Oncological Lung Cancer Group) and IASLC (International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer).

Edyta Maria Urbanska’s areas of interest include personalized medicine in oncology, biomarkers in NSCLC, tissue and plasma rebiopsies during progression, and TKI resistance mechanisms. She participates in the Tumor Board, a multidisciplinary discussion of cancer patients (including oncologists, pathologists, and molecular biologists). Edyta Maria Urbanska is a reviewer for several oncology journals, including Cancers.
