Lykke Skaarup works part-time on her PhD regarding the repurposing of DMARDs in the low inflammation in type 2 diabetes and how it affects patients with both diabetes and inflammatory arthritis. Furthermore, she works part-time as a clinician at the Medical Diagnostical Center, Regional Hospital Midt Silkeborg, finalizing the final year of specialist training.
